Born and raised in Silicon Valley, California, I spent most of my professional career in the tech industry. Though by many standards I happened to be pretty good at that life, it never fully squared with who I imagined myself to be. It took a series of crises to really force me to look at myself, the decisions I’d made, and what my life had become.

Sheltering in place during Covid really brought a lot of this to the forefront and I found myself looking to explore parts of me that were untapped. I turned to art and brought the family along as a way for us to have fun and connect with each other.

Since then, I’ve made many significant changes in my life to better align with the type of life I want to live — art has become one of my priorities along with investing in the health and well-being of my self and family.

Ember Creative Studio is one of the ways I hope to contribute to the beauty around us — by making art and self-expression part of the daily rhythm. Our current designs have been created by me and my family but I plan to expand to create a fun, positive, and quirky set of curated pieces from artists around the world.
